Snowflakes are actually the perfect metaphor for people. Each one IS unique, but we all have the same structure and are pretty similar in spite of our differences. And really, with as many around as there is, aint no one gonna notice your differences unless they care enough to look closely.

People are also similar to snowflakes in that it is difficult to drive when there are too many of them piled up on the road.

Well that took a turn I didn’t expect

The reason bap stans get so defensive is bc people are always coming for yongguk like he’s the worst of the worst. I’m sorry but if you stan zico, rapmon, jun.k, anyone from YG, etc. you really have no room to talk about who’s appropriating what.

Like shit there are a lot of idols I dislike but yall never catch me talking about them as much as yall talk about byg..the obsession is strong with you basic broads.

We know he’s not perfect but the fact that yall try to skew his intentions to support your dumbass ideas about him is ridiculous.

Anonymous sent: u ever get that lowkey asshole vibe from yongguk? like the kind of person who has a holier-than-you attitude bc they do charity/are vegan/adopt/etc. Like those kinds of ppl who are super sweet until u disagree with them then theyre like super passive agressive and are all "u dont agree with me so ur wrong ur always wrong" kinda person

yongguk was talkin about how he doesnt listen to any of the things jongup writes cause “hes not really songwriting yet” like yongguk is obv pretentious artistic douchebag supreme

he can throw down a shitton of money to tat ‘viva la revelucion’ in huge letters on his chest when he could’ve spent that money to idk fund an actual revolution or just fuckin help someone? and he used the account they had been using to save up money to open a school in b.a.p’s name to buy a laptop, because his art is more important than the education of potentially hundreds of children and he can’t do his songwriting on anything less than a macbook pro. talks about liberating children but wears clothes/mass consumes things made in sweatshops/conflict items.

i appreciate the sentiment behind what he does, but there’s not even active intent behind it or it seems like he’d do some fucking research and use his idolship to promote active/helpful charities and push fair trade clothing/items. like, if you’re gonna do the whole ‘motivated hipster’ thing, do it right. ur on a plane for sixteen hours at a time and ur label pays for the airline wifi and you don’t have time to google this shit? come on. ‘i watch the news and write songs about the injustice in the world’ doesn’t make you a renegade, not anymore, not when it’s so obvious that most media outlets are corrupt.

it’d be great if he’d stop patting himself on the back for things and continue to make progress instead. i didn’t know about the jongup thing, though, and honestly it kind of hurts my feelings. you’d figure he’d be nurturing artistic ventures and progressive thoughts in the other members instead of not giving them attention until ‘they’re on his level’ like what the fuck (do you happen to have a link to when he said that by the way)

Not to mention his tweet about how the music they make is too deep for his fans to understand.

Oh, and also about the one where he said their music is shit and he wishes he was making underground music again because it ‘mattered’.

Like excuse fucking ME. First off, we’re not retarded. I understood Badman immediately and it’s still one of my favourite songs and albums from BAP.

Secondly HOW FUCKING DARE YOU say that the music you make is shit now. Because you have a kid (Zelo) who looks up to you more than anything in this world, you have an amazing friend who has stayed by your every statement (Himchan), you have a vocalist who you push way too fucking hard but he slays it every time anyway (Daehyun), you have a vocalist who has gone through so much to prove he’s good too (Youngjae), and you have a young dancer that you oversexualize with his stripping and such even when HE was underage but nobody but Zelo mattered then, somebody who has made your choreography and has become a much much better vocalist than in the beginning and tries so hard to be good enough for you (Jongup).

I am a huge BAP stan but honestly I’ve had enough of Yongguk’s shit.

YO HEY I see your point and agree with you a lot but please, please don’t use an ableist slur like that, okay?

I saw this post and part of me wants to ignore it but a bigger part of me is telling me to set some things straight.

When I saw Yongguk’s response that he doesn’t read what Jongup writes, I cringed. It came off as very rude and somewhat elitist. Basically, I was NOT okay at all with the fact that Yongguk said something like that to a young and aspiring songwriter regardless of whether this was his way of joking or there being some massive inside joke about Jongup’s music.

BUT that is not a gateway for you to pull faulty facts out in an attempt to label Yongguk as a money-squandering hypocrite.

"he can throw down a shitton of money to tat ‘viva la revelucion’ in huge letters on his chest when he could’ve spent that money to idk fund an actual revolution or just fuckin help someone?"

The tattoo parlor that he had that tattoo done is either owned or managed by his sister and her boyfriend/husband. In fact, he also had the one on his arm done at that parlor too. I can’t say with absolute certainty, but I highly doubt that he “threw down a shitton of money” for it.

Also, even if he did pay a lot of money for it, are you really questioning how he spends his own money? That he earned? That small amount of money that idols so painstakingly earn after their companies take a majority of the profit to pay for costs?

"and he used the account they had been using to save up money to open a school in b.a.p’s name to buy a laptop, because his art is more important than the education of potentially hundreds of children and he can’t do his songwriting on anything less than a macbook pro.”

Again, this is the money that he earned through years of training, sleepless nights, and back to back performances. Being a fan, does not, IN ANY WAY, give you the right to pry into his finances. Why are you people writing it so that Yongguk can’t spend any money on himself? Do you even see how faulty your logic is?

To add to that, I wonder how he makes that money? Through his art. Making music is his job. It’s also what he loves doing. We don’t know what or how he was composing before he got his Macbook Pro. This could be a major upgrade for him. Why isn’t he allowed to have nice things? Does being an altruist mean that you have to dress in paper towels and eat cardboard so that every penny you earn can go to helping people? It’s a bit of an exaggeration, but I hope it gets my point across.

talks about liberating children but wears clothes/mass consumes things made in sweatshops/conflict items.

i appreciate the sentiment behind what he does, but there’s not even active intent behind it or it seems like he’d do some fucking research and use his idolship to promote active/helpful charities and push fair trade clothing/items

God forbid we succumb to the rampant capitalism that dominates society nowadays. I have a question — have you stopped wearing/using anything and everything that was produced in a sweatshop? (This isn’t like me asking you if you can sing after you criticize a singer because singers are expected to be able to sing. Idols, on the other hand, are not expected to be sweatshop-free although it is praiseworthy if they do.) If you have stopped doing so, then you should know how hard it is to avoid sweatshop-produced items, especially in Asia, where almost everything you see in stores is mass produced through sweatshops (although this is based on personal experience, so if anybody knows otherwise, please let me know!).

Yongguk’s penchant for somewhat provocative clothing is indeed an issue, especially some of his shirts from Black Scale and Obey, which depict religious symbols in a non-religious context as well as other controversial issues. If anyone is curious, check out here and here (includes all members).

Aside from this, I think Yongguk does a good job of using his idolship to promote charity and act as an activist. Here are a couple of tweets (up until March 12) that I pulled from his twitter:

Unicef (x) (x) (x) (x)

Greenpeace/Protect Paradise (x) (x) (x) (x)

United Nations [which isn’t a charity but it raises awareness] (x)

And his own personal tweets about foreign issues (x) (x)

If your argument is that he’s not doing anything to promote charity, then you are very obviously wrong. Otherwise, you’re criticizing him for not doing enough of something that he is not even obligated to do. (To be clear, wanting him to do more is different from criticizing him for not doing to enough.)

"like, if you’re gonna do the whole ‘motivated hipster’ thing, do it right. ur on a plane for sixteen hours at a time and ur label pays for the airline wifi and you don’t have time to google this shit? come on. ‘i watch the news and write songs about the injustice in the world’ doesn’t make you a renegade, not anymore, not when it’s so obvious that most media outlets are corrupt."

You make it sound like Yongguk does all of this to put on some kind of facade of, as you so call it, a “motivated hipster”. If you read the news and see that a certain city is being bombed or that people committing heinous crimes have not yet been punished, you can feel anger or be moved despite all of the corruption of media outlets. Also, not once has Yongguk ever declared that he was a renegade so please don’t put the words in his mouth. As fans, we only have confirmation based on what they say and do.

it’d be great if he’d stop patting himself on the back for things and continue to make progress instead.

Ah yes, Yongguk must be so proud of himself for donating to charity and raising awareness among his fans. To my knowledge, Yongguk has never brought up his altruistic activities on his own. On radio shows and in interviews, he only talks about it if he is prompted to. If you can find evidence otherwise, I will gladly eat my words.

Not to mention his tweet about how the music they make is too deep for his fans to understand.

Like excuse fucking ME. First off, we’re not retarded. I understood Badman immediately and it’s still one of my favourite songs and albums from BAP.

I have never seen nor did I find any tweets talking about how his music was too deep for his fans. I believe there might have an instance in which he mentioned it in a video that he had been approached by fans during a fansign who could not comprehend it. B.A.P’s fanbase in Korea is composed primarily of girls in their early teens. It would not be unusual for some of them to be confused by the lyrics. To my knowledge, Yongguk has NEVER generalized the BABY fanbase by saying that none of us understand his intent or that we’re too dumb to comprehend his songs. He has, however, said on multiple occasions that he respects us. Please base your arguments off of the things he actually says.

Oh, and also about the one where he said their music is shit and he wishes he was making underground music again because it ‘mattered’.

Secondly HOW FUCKING DARE YOU say that the music you make is shit now.

Here are two translations for what he tweeted that one time:

놀 시간에 곡 하나 더 만들어야지 남들이 좋다는거 말고 내꺼

In the time that I can be playing, I should make another song. Not something people say they like, but my own

trans. cr; hyejin @ baptrans ; take out with full credits

외모따위 신경 쓸 시간에 쓰는 16마디가 내겐 더 진짜 금 다들 신경쓰지말고 음악 좀 들읍시다

In the time I can think of looks, the 16 words I write are more like real gold to me. Let’s all not care and just listen to music please

trans. cr; hyejin @ baptrans ; take out with full credits

제발

Please

trans. cr; hyejin @ baptrans ; take out with full credits

역겹다 의미없는 딴따라따따다 랩

I’m sick of it, those meaningless ddanddaraddaddada raps

trans. cr; hyejin @ baptrans ; take out with full credits

@BAP_BangyonggukMAKE ART NOT WAR

@BAP_Bangyongguk: I DON’T NEED ANYTHING

(x)

and

Rather than spending my time having fun, I should write another song. Not what everyone else likes, but mine. The 16 words/bars that are written in replacement of the time spent on taking care of the outer appearance is much more precious to me like a gold. Let’s listen to music instead of paying too much attention to the appearance. Please. Hip-Hop.

(x)

He doesn’t say that he wants to go back to underground rap and he definitely does not say his current music is shit. His tweets seem to be more directed at his lack of control over his art and how his appearance is more important than his music. Although it might be inferred that he misses working underground, what’s wrong with that? What’s wrong with him being unsatisfied with where he is? Is that a right you lose once you become an idol?

shinjukugewalt:

um yes

namja with an ankh, i do not fuck with him at all on any level lmao

you have a young dancer that you oversexualize with his stripping and such even when HE was underage but nobody but Zelo mattered then, somebody who has made your choreography and has become a much much better vocalist than in the beginning and tries so hard to be good enough for you (Jongup).

AH YES, YONGGUK! THAT DASTARDLY DEVIL! SHAME ON HIM FOR ALWAYS OVERSEXUALIZING JONGUP! (see 0:24 in this interview

THAT’S RIGHT! ONLY ZELO EXISTS IN YONGGUK’S MIND! I BET HE DOESN’T GIVE TWO SHITS ABOUT JONGUP (see 1:55 of this radio show and this for another translation)

TL;DR I don’t agree with everything Yongguk says and does. But if you’re going to criticize him for something, please make it based on solid facts.

I don’t care if this gets me a lot of hate. If you have something to say to me or evidence that proves any of my points wrong, please feel free to let me know.

image

on a side note and someone correct me if i’m wrong but doesn’t he actually volunteer a lot and made a point for there NOT to be cameras there when he volunteered? Like i could have sworn this boy went and volunteered over seas with children or something of that nature and the company wanted to film it and he said no (i could be wrong so please someone let me know if that ain’t happen)

Everyone at the top of this post is fucking retarded. Yes I used a slur, sue me.

THANK you to the person who broke it down for you jackasses because personally I dont have the patience.
Tell me who your faves are and I’ll tell you why yongguk shits on them in every way.
This man isnt all talk, he still visits that childrens hospital whenever he can and has donated A LOT of toys and money to children in korea and elsewhere.

You can all go fuck yourselves tbh.

Hi everyone. I’ve never done this before but I think this is my last resort. It would be great even if you just shared this! (I’d be truly grateful if you donated too.)

My mom, Lucille Feliciano also known as Gina, is the most hard working and altruistic woman I know. You may think that I’m only saying this because she’s my mom, but ask anyone. They’ll all tell you how compassionate and hard working she is. She works as a caretaker in a facility but on her days off, she cleans multiple houses a day. And in her spare time, she caters delicious Filipino food. "Tita Gina is one of the most warm hearted people I know & is always optimistic. Her enthusiasm always brightens moods." - Ashley-Nicole Reyes (Niece) (More testimonials will come)On the night of August 7, 2014, my mom was coming home from a long and hard day of work. In the morning, her caretaking job and in the afternoon, she traveled to Alameda (across the bay bridge) to clean a home. As she was driving down Commercial Avenue (in South San Francisco), she noticed that a black Lexus was backing out of a driveway. She immediately slowed down and gave the Lexus a large amount of space. Suddenly, the black Lexus backed up with full force, giving my mom no time to react whatsoever. After hitting my mom, she immediately put her car back into the driveway. My mom described to me how she was shaking and trembling in fear, and how she noticed that the woman who hit my mom was on her phone the whole time. She was not paying attention to her surroundings because she was talking on the phone. The woman called the police, and even came to apologize to my mother. "Oh, I’m sorry! It’s all my fault," she said. When exchanging details the woman told my mother "Don’t worry! It’s only money." The next day, unable to work because of the tremendous pain she had on her neck, we visited a chiropractor after receiving an okay from the insurance company. Before being able to receive treatment, the receptionist made a few calls to both insurance companies to find that the lady who hit my mom was also trying to claim injuries, calling my mom a liar, and lying about how my mom hit her car on purpose. Without receiving any treatment, my mom ached for weeks. Battling the insurance companies became futile. As a result, we are left with a broken car. Sometimes the engine turns off while shes driving, and the wheels aren’t aligned properly. It’s 1997 Chrysler, so it’s seen its days. Everyday, my mom still uses this car despite it being dangerous to drive. Her safety is my number one priority.
*****EDIT: MONDAY SEPT 8, 2014*****I forgot to add the reason why battling with insurance became futile. My mother is not fluent in english. I was not around to help her speak to the insurance agencies so I did not actually find out why everything was taking so long to resolve everything until I sat in one of their phone conversations one day. Basically the reason why the black Lexus lady’s insurance did not accept my mother’s side of the story is because she had been using the word “garage” instead of “drive way” when explaining her story. They did not offer her any translation services in the beginning but neither did my mom know it was even possible to even be assisted. They even had the black Lexus lady take a photo of her garage that was FULL of stuff just to show that my mom was lying. (Also asked for measurements of her driveway and garage + a whole bunch of other nonsense.) While our insurance agency said that the evidence did prove that the black Lexus was at fault, their insurance had stuck with my moms english error mistakes as their arguement (even when it was explained extensively that my mom had made a mistake due to her limited english skills!!). Also, I want to post this as more evidence as to why it does not make sense for my mother to have hit the black Lexus lady.

I know I’m asking for a lot, but this is all I can do for my mother. (I figured if the internet can raise 15k for a bowl of potato salad, then they too can help my mother who’s in need.) I can’t work because I’m a full time student at a local university. My mother is my families breadwinner and this is why I’m seeking help for a woman who truly does deserve this. Thank you so much. If you can’t donate, It would mean a lot if you can share this page.
